Leah Edmond is a Lexington native and recent graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Elementary Education. While at the University of Kentucky from 2016 – 2019, she was a student-athlete, playing outside hitter on the volleyball team. During her senior year, Leah earned many honors, including AVCA First Team All-American, AVCA Region Player of the Year, SEC Player of the Year, and First Team All-SEC. She finished her career as the all-time kills leader for the University of Kentucky, breaking a record that stood for 24 years. Off the court, Leah focused on giving back to children in the Lexington community by volunteering at local elementary schools, backpack programs, and summer camps that teach children healthy behaviors. Leah is currently teaching 5th grade at Dixie Elementary School in Lexington.
