Georgena Terry is a pioneer in the biking industry as the first person to design and market bicycles built for women. Georgena tailored her bike designs to the unique needs of women’s bodies. She began building bicycles in her basement more than 30 years ago and continues to build custom bikes today for customers. Georgena earned a BA from Chatham University and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Georgena went on to earn her MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. In 2002, she was named a Cycling Innovator by Outside Magazine and in 2009 she was honored by the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition with the Pioneering Woman Award.
